Weber Grills x Orvis Fishing Festival, Hayling Island

This outdoor photography shoot was all about capturing the energy and authenticity of a summer festival that brought together passionate anglers, live-fire cooking, and a vibrant coastal atmosphere. Set against the scenic backdrop of Hayling Island, the event was a collaboration between Weber Grills and Orvis—two brands rooted in craftsmanship, tradition, and outdoor culture.

My focus was to visually tell the story of the day: from the smoky theatrics of live grilling to the hands-on fishing demos and laid-back festival vibes. The Weber team delivered mouth-watering moments with their open-fire cooking displays—billowing smoke, sizzling meats, and chefs fully immersed in the art of grilling. I made sure to highlight the textures and heat of the food, the glowing coals, and those candid interactions between chef and crowd.

The Orvis experience brought a different kind of energy—slower, more grounded, with casting lessons, fly-tying workshops, and a community of anglers sharing stories. I aimed to balance these calmer, more contemplative scenes with the bustle of the cooking stations and the broader festival crowd.

The weather held out beautifully, giving me natural golden light that added a warm glow to the shots, especially during the late afternoon. I leaned into lifestyle storytelling—capturing families exploring, friends gathered with plates in hand, and close-up moments that conveyed both the craft and joy of the day.

This shoot was a reminder of why I love documenting live events: the realness, the movement, the in-between moments that say more than a pose ever could.

Weber Grills × Maldon Salt: Lifestyle Outdoor Photography for a UK Brand Collaboration

This recent project showcases the final visual content created for Weber Grills and Maldon Salt as they launched their UK partnership. Captured on location in the British countryside, the shoot focused on rich, atmospheric lifestyle photography and video that brings outdoor cooking to life. From slow-burning barbecues to close-ups of finishing sea salt flakes, every image was crafted to highlight the brands’ shared passion for flavor, fire, and gathering.

Fly Fishing with Marina Gibson and Weber UK

A day with Weber UK means great food and great stories. I have been photographing the Weber chefs spend a day with fly fishing queen, Marina Gibson. It is incredibly satisfying to see the excitement that fishing brings to people. Documenting the whole narrative throughout the day, from lake to lunch! We were fortunate to be in the company of some amazing chefs: @melissafood @jonrfinch @huntergathercook @tbone_chops @danielcooperbbq

We enjoyed a variety of dishes, from cold-smoked trout fajitas to grilled trout and salads, making it one helluva feast next to Longstock lake on the @leckfordestate.

Capturing the lifestyle elements of the day in the form of stills and film with the Canon R5 and the RF 24mm - 70mm lens. The aim of this short film was to capture the journey of the day at Leckford Estate with Marina’s guidance and the joy that comes from good food, good grills and good company. Short film to be released soon.

Drgnfly Dorchester, Now Open!

In my recent indoor photoshoot at the newly opened Drgnfly situated in Brewery Square, Dorset, I aimed to capture the essence of the culinary experience and the Pan Asian elegant design. In each image I aimed to bring the ambiance and flavors of the Drgnfly to life.

The play of ambient lighting was a bit of a struggle especially as I was unable to use flash in order to not disturb the customers. This was overcome with adjusting the white balance and retaining the stability of how I was taking each image. High ISO and post production was also a big factor in getting this cooler for the Drgnfly aesthetic. Carefully selected angles allowed me to showcase the unique personality of the restaurant, also showcasing the finer details that created a sense of Asia. From the warm hues of the dining area to the subtle highlights on delectable dishes, every detail was meticulously considered to convey the inviting atmosphere of the venue.

I focused not only on the food but also on the moments shared within the restaurant's walls. Candid shots of diners engrossed in conversation, the skillful choreography of kitchen staff, and the interplay of shadows and reflections all contribute to a narrative that goes beyond the plate. Each photograph is a visual tale, telling the story of a culinary journey and the emotions it evokes.

My approach to this photoshoot was to bring this new restaurant to life and to allow the Drgnfly to present a visual experience that goes beyond the palate. The images capture the interplay of textures, colors, and aromas, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the sensorial experience of the restaurant.

Behind the Scenes with Baboo Gelato

Behind the scenes with Baboo Gelato for my regular social media clients Your Village Stores! Baboo Gelato was set up in 2015 by Annie Hanbury, a trained gelatiere, who wanted to combine her passion for making seriously good ice cream with the glut of fabulous ripe fruit on her doorstep. This became very clear during a recent visit to the factory.

Handmade using their own fresh, seasonal fruit to produce sensational, mouth-watering flavours like no other. Each batch of Baboo’s artisanal ice cream is carefully prepared from scratch on their premises in Bridport, Dorset, using succulent fruit, local organic milk and lashings of dedication.

Gelato is not simply the Italian name for ice cream. Although it feels very smooth, gelato is made using more milk than cream, and so is much lower in fat than traditional ice cream. There is also less air in gelato, which means it packs more flavour.
